Thallus ± closely attached, ± wide-spreading, lobes rounded, often undulate, upper surface green to brownish (HNO3+ violet) (oily deep green when wet), pseudocyphellae and cilia absent; lower surface ± densely rhizinose often naked towards the margins, rhizines simple.
Corticolous, rarely saxicolous
Asia, Europe, N. Africa; temperate-boreal
